Bird battle sounds so much cooler...

So far, we have the old world winning 2-0!

In this corner- weighing in at an average of 11 g- we have the cute, the curious, the BLACK-CAPPED CHICKADEE!!

Fun facts- this is New Brunswick's provincial bird, and most birds that associate with chickadee flocks respond to chickadee alarm calls, even when their own species doesn’t have a similar alarm call.
And in this corner- weighing in at an average of 9 g, we have the COAL TIT!!

Fun facts- This bird is the smallest of the 7 British Tits
Don't forget to go vote on my poll!

Now for a whiney horse rant.
Caution- I'm just writing down my thoughts and whining. There isn't really flow between sentences if that matters to you.

Y'Know how people say "one step forward, 2 steps back"? That's exactly how it feels. Even though we took a 2 month break because of -Canada Celsius weather, I still feel like we should be father then we are. Last training session we had, we spent it attempting to get one full circle on the lounge line without Rudie freaking out. Today,  I went to lounge him, and he was being an a**. I know people say "it's never the horse's fault", but It's tough not to be mad at him, even if it isn't his fault. I'm curious to see how much we'll progress in the next few weeks, maybe i'll see where the root off the problem is. Is it him? me? the trainer? All I want is to take him out on trail rides! My dad said he wants to sell him, because of how little progress we are making. I see where he is coming from- we started in September of 2013, and we are still doing walk/trot work under saddle on the lounge line. He can walk off the lounge line under saddle, but only after 15 minuets of lounging. I wonder how long it will take us to get back to that point. Maybe I should stop throwing money at him and send him off to a barn or just give up on training him. When I see my trainer on Wednesday, I'll talk to her about this. Then again, this is the same trainer who insisted I should keep his halter on even though I knew it was too tight, and ended up cutting him. I don't really like her method some times, for example, she kicked Rudie in the stomach last week. Was that necessary? Sending him to a training barn sounds pretty enticing right now. Ugh.

I think a training barn for Rudie seems like a good thing to do, it doesn't seem like either of you are learning anything with your current trainer. I had to send Irish away when I first had him, he's better now even though he still has a few problems. I wouldn't give up on Rudie just yet, try the training barn, it might help a lot.
